Donetsk, Apr 10 - DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled the Volvo Centre district in northern Donetsk outskirts with large calibre artillery on Tuesday afternoon, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said.
“At 12:20, Ukrainian forces opened fire on the Peski - Volvo Centre axis; eight 82mm mines and 18 152mm artillery rounds have been fired,” Yakubov sad.
No casualties or damage were immediately reported.
The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko and supported by the Contact Group for peaceful settlement came into effect in Donbass at 00:01 on March 30. It only lasted nine and half hours. Kiev forces have not stopped fire in Donbass since; according to the JCCC, 186 ceasefire violations have been recorded.
