Donetsk, May 30 - DAN. Ukrainian forces deployed heavy artillery and tanks to the contact line on Gorlovka and Mariupol axes, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.
“Our intelligence continues to record the strengthening of Ukrainian army positions in vicinity of the contact line,” Basurin said.
DPR intelligence spotted six Ukrainian tanks in Svetlodarskoye village area, seven kilometres from the contact line, and an anti-tank gun (Mt-12 Rapira) in Nikolayevka village area outside Volnovakha, eight kilometres from the contact line.
In addition, DPR intelligence revealed 20 Ukrainian armoured vehicles in Zaitsevo village area outside Gorlovka.
According to Basurin, Kiev forces fired 238 artillery and mortar rounds at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours; the heaviest shelling was recorded on Donetsk axis.
Earlier on Tuesday, DPR Operations command reported 55 ceasefire violations by Kiev forces over the past 24 hours. Local authorities reported damage to 11 houses, a gas pipe and and an electric substation in Dokuchayevsk and Yasinovataya and its outskirts.*jk
