Donetsk, Dec 21 — DAN. Six servicemen of Ukrainian armed formations on Krasny Liman axis have laid down their arms and surrendered to the Russian army, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.
Russia also delivered strikes at enemy troops and equipment concentrated in the Terny and Torskoye settlement areas on Krasny Liman axis.
On Donetsk axis, advancing Russian forces captured new dominating heights and ground and destroyed a large group of enemy troops and their armored vehicles.
On South Donetsk axis, Russian army units delivered strikes at 72nd Mechanized Brigade positions in Novomikhailovka and 108th Territorial Defense Brigade positions in Prechistovka.
On Kupyansk axis, strikes were delivered at Ukrainian army positions in Petropavlovka, Peschanoye and Berestovoye, Kharkov region.
Three M-777 artillery pieces were destroyed in Trudovoye (DPR) and Zelyonovka (Kherson region); two hangars with weapons and military equipment of foreign origin were destroyed in Artyomovsk (DPR) and Temirovka (Zaporozhye region). A “Grad” multiple rocket launcher was destroyed in Vodyanoye (DPR) and the radar of a Ukrainian S-300 air defense system was destroyed in Andreyevka (DPR).
The Russian Air Force shot down an enemy Su-25 in Krasnogorovka and a Mi-8 helicopter in Artyomovsk.
The special military operation in Ukraine and Donbass began on February 24, 2022. Its objective is to free territories occupied by the Kiev regime.*jk
