Donetsk, Jan 6 — DAN. No artillery strikes were delivered at the Donetsk People’s Republic at night, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported as of 10:00 on Friday.

By that time on Thursday, the Republic had come under Ukrainian artillery fire five times.

Kiev forces fired some 200 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas on Thursday using missile and cannon artillery, according to the JCCC.  The latest strike was recorded at 15:00, Moscow time.

Two civilians were wounded and eight homes and infrastructure facilities were damaged in Kiev artillery attacks over the past 24 hours.

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to introduce a ceasefire in the special military operation zones for the period of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It will remain in effect from 12:00, January 6 to 24:00, January 7. Putin also called upon Kiev to observe a ceasefire.*jk
