Donetsk, Aug 28 – DAN. Kiev forces violated the ceasefire 24 times over the last 24 hours, the DPR Operations Command said.
“During the last 24 hours Kiev forces violated the ceasefire 24 times, using artillery, mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, armored personnel carrier guns, grenade launchers and small arms,” the interlocutor said.
Overall, fourteen DPR settlements came under Ukrainian army units fire.
No casualties have been immediately reported.
Earlier reports said that in Yasinovataya, an outbuilding on the territory of a summer camp had been damaged by shelling overnight.
The ‘school ceasefire’ has been agreed to by the sides as the new academic year is to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It hasn't proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized.
According to DAN information, a comprehensive ceasefire has been announced in Donbass more than 15 times, not mentioning local silence regime announcements and agreements to provide repairs at strategic objects. At best, they have contributed to a short-time stabilization. *ot
