Donetsk, Nov 8 – DAN. Ukrainian forces have violated the ceasefire more than 1,000 times in the past 24 hours, shelling over a dozen DPR settlements, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“The situation in DPR is continuing to escalate. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have violated the ceasefire 1,072 times,” Basurin said.

Ukrainian army units targeted DPR territory with 392 82mm and 120mm mortar rounds, 122mm and 152mm artillery rounds and six tank gun rounds. They also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.

Trudovskiye village west of Donetsk, Zaitsevo and Zheleznaya Balka outside Gorlovka, Yelenovka southwest of Donetsk, the industrial zone outside Yasinovataya, the outskirts of Dokuchayevsk and Kominternovo, Sakhanka, Leninskoye and Oktyabr villages in DPR south came under Ukrainian army fire.

Earlier on Tuesday, head of Dokuchayevsk administration Aleksandr Kachanov told DNA that a woman had been wounded in Ukrainian army shelling.
