Donetsk, Sep 5 - DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 30 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Tuesday.

“Thirty ceasefire violations by Ukrainian armed forces have been recorded over the past 24 hours,” Basurin said.

Ukrainian army units used mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms to deliver strikes on Donetsk axis, he said.

Seventeen 120mm mortar rounds and 12 82mm mortar rounds were fired at nine settlements and adjacent areas. Five 82mm mortar rounds were fired at Kominternovo village on Mariupol axis. Sakhanka and Leninskoye villages areas came under grenade launcher and small arms fire. A mortar round was fired at Krasniy Partizan settlement outside Gorlovka.

A new ceasefire accord came into effect in Donbass from 25 August midnight. It was agreed by Contact Group participants in Minsk ahead of the new school year, and was dubbed school year ceasefire.*jk
