Donetsk, Feb 24 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire five times over the past 24 hours firing more than 40 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Monday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire five times expending 41 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Golmovskiy settlement (Gorlovka axis), the Trudovskaya Colliery and Zhabichevo settlements (Donetsk axis) and the Leninskoye village (Mariupol axis), the JCCC said.

Ukrainian army strikes caused multiple damage to houses and property of residents at five locations in the Golmovskiy settlement in northern Gorlovka on Sunday. A gas pipe was damaged in the settlement.

The enemy used 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire ten times firing 97 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
