Donetsk, Sep 11 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 21 times over the past 24 hours, firing 174 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 21 times expending 174 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
The Spartak village, the Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in the outskirts of Donetsk, the Zaitsevo, Gagarin Colliery and Ozeryanovka villages outside Gorlovka, the Yasinovataya town and the Sakhanka, Novaya Tavriya, Kominternovo and Oktyabr villages in southern DPR were targeted with 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, large calibre machine guns and small arms, he added.
The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
Earlier reports on Tuesday said that three houses in southern DPR had been damaged by Ukrainian army strikes.
A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on August 29, 2018. The “school ceasefire” was agreed by the the Contact Group participants in Minsk ahead of the new school year.*jk
