Donetsk, Apr 9 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 18 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 90 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 18 times expending 93 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Fire was delivered at the airport area (Volvo Centre) and the Spartak village in the northern outskirts of Donetsk, the Trudovskaya Colliery, Alexandrovka and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in the west of the DPR capital, the Zaitsevo settlement in Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, and the Sakhanka and Oktyabr villages in southern DPR.
The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, sniper weapons and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
On Monday, two women in Donetsk and Gorlovka were wounded in shelling by Ukrainian forces.
On Tuesday morning, Ukrainian servicemen opened fire at Gorlovka leaving more than 3,000 customers without electricity.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated ceasefire 17 times firing more than 40 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
