Donetsk, Sep 2 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired more than 190 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Monday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 17 times expending 193 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Gagarin Colliery, 6/7 Colliery, Zaitsevo, Dolomitnoye and Golmovskiy neighbourhoods in northern Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, and the Kominternovo village in the south of the DPR, he added.

The enemy used 122mm howitzers, 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Earlier reports said that Kiev forces fired at an OSCE Special Monitoring Mission patrol and JCCC representatives who had arrived in Kominternovo to record the damage caused by artillery and mortar strikes, in particular the house at 9 Vatutina Street in Kominternovo which caught fire after it was hit by a 120mm mortar round.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 37 times firing more than 500 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
