Donetsk, Sep 5 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired more than 200 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 14 times expending 201 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
Strikes were delivered at the Gagarin Colliery, 6/7 Colliery, Golmovskiy, Zaitsevo, Komarovo, and Panteleimonovka neighbourhoods in Gorlovka, the Trudovskaya Colliery, Spartak and Mineralnoye townships in the outskirts of Donetsk and the Petrovskoye, Sakhanka and Kominternovo villages in southern DPR, the JCCC said.
The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall statistics.
Updated reports said that the shelling caused damage to a kindergarten in Gorlovka, a power transmission line, two houses and two sheds at 39/2 Yakub Kolas Str., 10 Fomin Street, and 3 and 9 Smirnov Street in 6/7 Colliery’s Nikitovskiy district.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 10 times firing 45 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
