Donetsk, Apr 3 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 14 times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 100 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 14 times expending 98 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Donetsk and Gorlovka outskirts and DPR southern areas were targeted with mortars and infantry fighting vehicle cannons, he added.
The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko and supported by the Contact Group for peaceful settlement came into effect in Donbass at 00:01 on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long: nine and half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *jk
