Donetsk, Jan 23 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 12 times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 200 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 12 times expending 193 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Vesyoloye village, the Donetsk airport, Volvo Centre and the Trudovskaya Colliery settlement (Donetsk axis), the Dolomitnoye and Izotov Colliery settlements (Gorlovka axis), and the Novaya Tavriya, Krasnoarmeiskoye, Leninskoye, Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages (Mariupol axis), the JCCC said.

The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. Sniper fire was recorded as well. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units fired some 40 rounds at DPR areas in five ceasefire violations.*jk
