Donetsk, Mar 14 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 11 times over the past 24 hours firing 85 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic areas, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 11 times expending 85 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Fire was delivered at the Donetsk airport, the Zhabichevo and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in Donetsk outskirts and suburbs, Gorlovka and its Gagarin Colliery and Zaitsevo neighbourhoods, the Vasilyevka village outside Yasinovataya and the Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR. The enemy used infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers, high calibre small arms and sniper’s weapons, he added.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ukrainian forces fired at DPR representatives and Voda Donbassa personnel outside Yasinovataya despite the agreed truce and security guarantees for the area received from Ukraine at the JCCC.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire seven times firing 27 rounds at the DPR.

The “spring ceasefire” in Donbass has been in effect since 01:01, March 8. Five minutes into the new truce Ukrainian forces fired at the Alexandrovka neighbourhood in Donetsk’s western outskirts.*jk*pp
