Donetsk, Aug 1 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 30 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire seven times expending 28 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Fire was delivered at Yasinovataya, the Donetsk airport area and the Trudovskiye neighbourhood in western Donetsk and the Petrovskoye, Styla, Ukrainskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR, he added.
The enemy used 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms.
In the previous reporting period, the Kiev army violated the ceasefire three times shelling settlements in southern DPR. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on July 21. It was agreed at the the Contact Group talks in Minsk on July 17.*jk
