Donetsk, Feb 20 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 16 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 80 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 16 times expending 88 rounds of ammunition,” the JCCC said.
Strikes were delivered at the areas of the the Golmovskiy and Gagarin Colliery settlements (Gorlovka axis); the Volvo Centre, the Alexandrovka, Staromikhailovka and Trudovskaya Colliery settlements and the Signalnoye and Vesyoloye villages (Donetsk axis) and the Sakhanka village (Mariupol axis), the JCCC said.
On Wednesday, a house was damaged in the Signalnoye village outside Yelenovka in shelling by Ukrainian forces. In the Trudovskaya Colliery settlement, a car was damaged as Ukrainian forces fired mortars at the area on Wednesday evening.
The enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 18 times firing some 100 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
