Donetsk, May 1 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired more than 600 rounds of ammunition at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 620 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Enemy forces targeted Donetsk’s northern outskirts, Yasinovataya suburbs, Gorlovka neighbourhoods Ozeryanovka, Zaitsevo, Shirokaya Balka and Mikhailovka, and the villages of Leninskoye, Kominternovo, Bezymennoye and Sakhanka in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Overall, 28 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.

The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline lasted slightly more than nine hours.*jk
