Donetsk, Apr 17 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 35 times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 900 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 35 times expending 895 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Ukrainian army units targeted Donetsk’s northern areas and suburbs, the outskirts of Yasinovataya, Gorlovka and Dokuchayevsk and southern DPR districts with 152mm artillery, mortars, grenade launchers, tank guns and infantry fighting vehicle cannons, he added.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces delivered a massive strike at the Zaitsevo village in northern Gorlovka on Tuesday morning and that the Mayorsk crossing point came under fire as well. *jk
