Donetsk, Sep 25 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 28 times over the past 24 hours, firing nearly 500 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 28 times expending 488 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Golmovskiy, Gagarin Colliery, Izotov Colliery, Shirokaya Balka, Dolomitnoye and Zaitsevo villages on the Gorlovka axis, Yasinovataya and its suburban neighbourhoods of Vasilyevka and Krutaya Balka. Kiev forces also targeted the Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka villages in western Donetsk, Dokuchayevsk and the Petrovskoye, Dzerzhinskoye, Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Kominternovo villages in the south of the Republic. The enemy employed 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers and small arms, he added.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 26 times firing 235 rounds at DPR frontlines areas.*jk
