Donetsk, Aug 15 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire nine times over the past 24 hours firing some 40 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire nine times expending 39 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Zaitsevo and Gagarin Colliery neighbourhoods in northern Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk and the Novolaspa, Kominternovo, Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR; the enemy used mortars, grenade launchers and small arms, he added.

Earlier reports said that four houses had been damaged in the north of the frontline Gorlovka in overnight shelling by Ukrainian armed forces; one of the houses burnt to ashes.

A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on July 21. It was agreed at the the Contact Group talks in Minsk on July 17. *jk*pp
