Donetsk, Feb 28 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire nine times over the past 24 hours firing more than 60 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Friday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire nine times expending 61 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Vasilyevka village and the Zhabichevo and Staromikhailovka settlements on the Donetsk axis, the South Zaitsevo and Gagarin Colliery settlements on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Sosnovskoye and Kominternovo villages on the Mariupol axis, the JCCC said.

Reports on Thursday said that the school in the Komarovo settlement in north-western Gorlovka had been damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces. On top of that, Ukrainian forces strikes damaged houses in Staromikhailovka in western Donetsk.

The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 14 times on the contact line in Donbass.*jk
