Donetsk, Jun 24 - DAN. Kiev army units have violated the ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire seven times expending 66 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. "Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Shakhta Gagarina, Shakhta 6/7 and Shirokaya Balka settlements on the Gorlovka axis, Krasny Partizan and Mineralnoye on the Donetsk axis, and the outskirts of the Novolaspa village on the Mariupol axis."
The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, RPG and SPG grenade launchers and small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
A Ukrainian army strike on Wednesday damaged a low pressure gas pipe and windows and frontage of a cogeneration plant building in northern Donetsk.
Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC ignore the DPR requests to cease fire by employing the coordination mechanism. “They invariably reply that the strike has not been confirmed and that they have been observing the truce,” the DPR Office said.
In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces opened fire at the DPR twice.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
