Donetsk, Feb 5 - DAN. Ukrainian army units have shelled northern Donetsk and the adjacent Spartak village, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Today, at 12:50, Ukrainian forces shelled the Donetsk airport area,” Yakubov said. “The enemy fired four 82mm mines, 15 AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher rounds and three SPG recoilless gun rounds and also used large calibre machine guns and small arms.”
At 13:00, the Ukrainian army shelled the Spartak village north of the DPR capital with six 120mm mortar rounds, seven 82mm mortar rounds, 25 AGS-17 grenade launcher rounds and small arms.
Kiev forces violated the ceasefire 17 times over the past 24 hours firing 55 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.
Mortar strikes are usually delivered at night-time or in the evening; daytime shelling is extremely rare.*jk
