Donetsk, June 4 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired 579 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 23 times expending 579 rounds of ammunition,” the JCCC said.
Strikes were delivered at the Donetsk airport, the Spartak village, the Minieralnoye and Alexandrovka neighbourhoods in Donetsk outskirts and suburbs, Gorlovka’s neighbourhoods Shirokaya Balka, Izotov Colliery, Gagarin Colliery and the Mikhailovka village and the Vasilyevka and Krutaya Balka villages outside Yasinovataya.
The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
Earlier reports said a bus carrying Donetsk Water Treatment Plant workers came under Ukrainian army fire in the Yasinovataya area on Monday morning. On Monday afternoon, Ukrainian servicemen opened fire at the Spartak village north of Donetsk during power supply restoration works.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 13 times firing 214 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
