Donetsk, Jan 28 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire four times over the past 24 hours firing 120 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire four times expending 120 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
Fire was delivered at the areas of the Zaitsevo (Yuzhnoye) settlement and the Yakovlevka village outside Yasinovataya on the Donetsk axis, and the Petrovskoye and Leninskoye villages outskirts on the Mariupol axis, the JCCC said.
The enemy used infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers (RPG, AGS and SPG) and small arms including large calibre machine guns.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces opened fire at the DPR four times expending nine rounds of ammunition.
Earlier on Thursday, reports said that Kiev troops had fired at a village in southern DPR.
The package of Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
