Donetsk, Jul 9 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations expended more than 200 rounds of ammunition over the past 24 hours targeting frontline areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 15 times expending 201 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Strikes were delivered at the Trudovskaya Colliery, Alexandrovka and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in the outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka’s neighbourhoods Gagarin Colliery, Izotov Collier and Dolomitnoye, Yasinovataya, and the Bezymennoye, Leninskoye, Krasnoarmeiskoye, Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR, he added.
The enemy used 152mm howitzers, 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
In Gorlovka, six houses sustained shelling damage.
Earlier reports on Tuesday said that Ukrainian forces had fired nearly 50 122mm and 152mm rounds at villages in southern DPR.*jk
