Donetsk, Feb 12 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 24 times over the past 24 hours firing 289 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 24 times expending 289 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the Volvo Centre, the Spartak village and the Zhabichevo township in Donetsk outskirts and suburbs, Gorlovka and its Golmovskiy and Dolomitnoye neighbourhoods, Yasinovataya and the adjacent Krutaya Balka village and the Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Oktyabr villages in southern DPR.

The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons and high calibre small arms.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Earlier reports said that on Monday morning Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk and the Oktyabr village in the DPR’s Novoazovskiy district with mortars. On Monday evening, the Ukrainian army shelled Gorlovka damaging a power transmission line in Dolomitnoye.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 21 times, firing 264 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
