Donetsk, Sep 4 – DAN. Ukrainian forces fired 34 artillery and mortar rounds at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“On Donetsk axis, the enemy used mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, armored personnel carriers guns and small arms. Kiev forces fired three 120mm mortar rounds and 10 82mm mortar rounds on Donetsk axis,” Basurin said.
”On Mariupol axis, the enemy fired one artillery round of 152mm caliber, six tank gun rounds, six 120mm and eight 82mm mortar rounds.”
Overall, 23 violations of the 'school ceasefire' have been recorded.
The ‘school ceasefire’ has been agreed to by the sides as the new academic year is to begin in Donbass on September 1. It came into force at midnight August 25. It hasn’t proved to be durable, thought in the first hours the security situation along the contact line stabilized.*ot
