Donetsk, Aug 18 – DAN. Ukrainian army units fired 2,000 artillery and mortar rounds at DPR frontline areas over the past week, the Republic’s Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Friday.
“Over the past week, the enemy violated the ceasefire 362 times firing 2,085 artillery, tank gun and mortar rounds at 32 townships across DPR,” Basurin said.
Petrovskiy and Kievskiy districts of Donetsk, Spartak township north of the capital, Sakhanka and Kominternovo were subject to the most intense shelling.
In seven other townships 24 houses were damaged or destroyed.
Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 51 times over the past 24 hours, firing over 200 rounds at DPR. A civilian man was injured in Zaitsevo. *ot
