Donetsk, Aug 13 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire five times over the past 24 hours firing more than 100 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic areas, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire five times expending 115 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

The Spartak village north of the DPR capital, Gorlovka’s Izotov Colliery and Ozeryanovka neighbourhoods and the Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR came under Ukrainian forces fire, he added. The enemy used howitzers, mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.

Reports on Monday said that Ukrainian forces had shelled the Oktyabr village in southern DPR damaging 12 houses and utility structures, a shop in Zvezdnaya Street, and gas and power supply lines.*jk
