Donetsk, Feb 2 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations on Thursday morning fired infantry fighting vehicle cannons at the Dokuchayevsk area, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office  at the  Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

Fire was delivered from the Novotroitskoy settlement; the enemy expended 20 BMP-2 IFV cannon rounds, and also fired two SPG recoilless gun rounds.  No casualties or damage were immediately reported, the JCCC said.

Ukrainian army units observed the ceasefire over the past 24 hours.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
