Donetsk, Aug 23 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire once over the past 24 hours, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire once expending five rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
The airport outside Donetsk and the Vesyoloe village were targeted with anti-tank rocket propelled grenade launchers (RPG) and recoilless guns (SPG).
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire seven times firing 37 rounds at DPR frontlines areas.
The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
On Wednesday, the Contact Group for peaceful settlement in Donbass met in Minsk to agree a lasting and comprehensive ceasefire on the contact line due to come into effect at 00:01 on August 29, 2018.*jk
