Donetsk, May 25 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory twice over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
“Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire twice over the past 24 hours expending 13 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.
The enemy used 60mm and 120mm mortars as it delivered strikes at the Spartak village and Shakhta Trudovskaya settlement areas on the Donetsk axis. Reports on Monday said that two houses, an electrical substation and a gas pipe had been damaged in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district.
“Ukraine has ignored the DPR’s attempts at the JCCC to use the coordination mechanism to secure immediate ceasefire after each violation,” the DPR Office said.
In the previous reporting period, two ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
