Donetsk, Feb 23 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire nine times over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the indefinite ceasefire nine times expending 64 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. (The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics - eds Donetsk News Agency).
The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms. Fire was delivered at the areas of the Yakovlevka village and the Alexandrovka settlement on the Donetsk axis, the Shakhta Gagrina settlement on the Gorlovka axis and the outskirts of the Bezymennoye village on the Mariupol axis.
Earlier reports said a 23-year-old civilian suffered a shrapnel wound to the stomach as Kiev forces shelled Alexandrovka.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces did not violate the ceasefire.*jk
