Donetsk, Sep 20 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 17 times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 90 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Friday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 17 times expending 88 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Strikes were delivered at the Donetsk airport, the Trudovskaya Colliery, Alexandrovka, Zhabichevo and Staromikhailovka neighbourhoods in the outskirts and suburbs of the DPR capital, Gorlovka’s Zaitsevo neighbourhood, and the Petrovskoye, Kominternovo, Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR, he added.
The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.
Earlier reports said a civilian was wounded as Kiev forces shelled western Donetsk.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces fired 114 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
