Donetsk, Apr 24 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired more than 630 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 635 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Enemy forces targeted northern and western outskirts of Donetsk, Yasinovataya and Dokuchayevsk and its suburbs including the Styla village. JCCC monitoring groups recorded strikes at the Shirokaya Balka and Mikhailovka settlements outside Gorlovka and the Kominternovo, Sakhanka and Leninskoye villages in southern DPR.

Overall, 25 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.

Earlier reports said a house had been damaged in western Donetsk in overnight shelling by Ukrainian forces.

The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long nine and a half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Ukrainian army units were recorded. *jk
