Donetsk, Aug 16 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire three times over the past 24 hours, firing 39 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire three times expending 39 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Gorlovka’s Dolomitnoye neighbourhood and the Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR were targeted with automatic grenade launchers (AGS), anti-tank rocket propelled grenade launchers (RPG), recoilless guns (SPG) and small arms.

Head of Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district administration Maxim Zhukovskiy said that a utility shed had been damaged at 22 Safonova Street, Trudovskiye neighbourhood, in shelling by Ukrainian forces. A team of the DPR Mission to the JCCC went to the scene to obtain evidence of the aftermath of the shelling.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 13 times firing 188 rounds at DPR frontlines areas.*jk
