Donetsk, Jun 17 — DAN. One civilian has been killed, ten injured, inclusing two children, over the past day as Ukrainian forces opened fire on the DPR 40 times over the last 24 hours, the Republic’s Mission to the JCCC said.

The enemy used heavy artillery, MLRS systems, mortars, and grenade launchers, firing a total of 252 rounds.

“A woman was killed in Yasinovataya, nine civilians in Donestk sustained injuries of various degrees, including a teenager,” the report reads.

Forty households and infrastructure facilities have been damaged as a total of 13 cities and towns came under fire.

The morning reports issued by the JCCC exclude information on casualties in the areas where active military action is ongoing.

Russia started a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the decision was made after the DPR and LPR Heads addressed him asking for help.

The Russian leader said that Moscow is not planning to occupy Ukrainian territory, the only goal is to protect people who have been continuously shelled and subjected to other forms of genocide by Ukraine for eight years. *ot
