Donetsk, May 29 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired more than 200 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 210 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Massive fire from Ukrainian positions was delivered in the Donetsk direction; Dokuchayevsk, the Spartak village in north of Donetsk and the Verkhnetoretskoye settlement outside Yasinovataya came under fire.
Four ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.
The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long; nine and a half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *jk
