Donetsk, Dec 30 - DAN. Ukrainian forces have violated the ceasefire 1,923 times this year, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

In the period from January 1 through December 30, 2021, Ukrainian army units fired 15,403 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas, including 286 122mm and 152mm artillery rounds, more than 2,600 120mm mortar rounds, 1,260 82mm mortar rounds and 29 anti-tank guided missiles. On top of that, Ukrainian servicemen used attack drones 22 times, the JCCC said.

Over the designated period, seven civilians were killed and another 31 were wounded. Ukrainian army strikes caused damage to 357 houses and infrastructure facilities.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
