Donetsk, Aug 9 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire eight times over the past 24 hours, firing more than 150 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire eight times expending 155 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.
Strikes were delivered at the Staromikhailovka village in western Donetsk, the Gagarin Colliery settlement in Gorlovka, the Vasilyevka village and the Verkhnetoretskoye Nizhneye settlement in northern Yasinovataya, as well as at the Leninskoye, Kominternovo and Trudovskoye villages in the south of the Republic. Ukrainian forces used mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.
Reports on Wednesday said that Ukrainian forces had fired ten 120mm mortar rounds at Gorlovka’s western outskirts.*jk
