Donetsk, Jul 13 - DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled the Yelenovka settlement area south of Donetsk on Tuesday morning, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.
The strike was delivered at 07:40; 12 120mm mortar rounds were fired from the Kiev-controlled Taramchuk settlement, the JCCC said.
On top of that, a 120mm mortar strike was recorded at the northern outskirts of Donetsk at 07:05. Ukrainian forces in the Opytnoye settlement area fired three rounds at the Vesyoloye village.
There are four crossing point on the contact line between the DPR and Ukraine-held territory but only the Yelenovka-Novotroitskoye crossing point operates at present due to the spread of the coronavirus infection. The Yelenovka-Novotroitskoye humanitarian corridor opens twice a week, on Monday and Friday.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights.*jk
