Donetsk, Jan 5 – DAN. Ukrainian army violated the ‘new year ceasefire’ 37 times since it had come into force on December 23, 2017, said DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin.

“Since the sides put the ‘regime of silence’ into force on December 23, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 37 times expending over 500 rounds,” he said.

Kiev forces shelled 12 townships with mortars, infantry fighting vehicles guns, grenade launchers and small arms.
During the past week 11 volitions were recorded.

The members of the Contact Group held a meeting on December 20 in Minsk and agreed to another comprehensive, durable and indefinite ceasefire coming into force at midnight December 23 (1.00 a.m. DPR time). The DPR has confirmed its commitment to silence guns. *ot
