Donetsk, Dec 20 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled DPR frontline areas 1,579 times over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“Ukrainian gunmen violated the ceasefire 1,579 times in the past 24 hours, firing 69 152mm and 122mm artillery rounds, 407 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds and 899 grenade launcher rounds. They also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms,” Basurin said.
Ukrainian forces targeted Gorlovka and nearby villages (Zaitsevo, Shirokaya Balka, Mikhailovka and Ozeryanovka), Yasinovataya and adjacent Spartak, Zhabichevo and Krutaya Balka villages, Dokuchayevsk town, Sakhanka, Sergeyevka, Leninskoye and Kominternovo villages in DPR south and Trudovskiye and Aleksandrovka villages in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district.
Basurin said Ukrainian forces shelling damaged two residential houses and nonfunctioning kindergarten in Yasnoye village and one house in Dokuchayevsk. *jk
