Donetsk, Oct 7 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 1352 times over the week, commander of DPR Operations Command Major-General Denis Sinenkov said.
“Over the last week Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 1352 times, with 803 cases of using heavy artillery, tanks and mortars,” he said.
Sinenkov added that 31 locations were shelled.
The commander pointed to higher level of activity of Ukraine Special Forces sabotage-reconnaissance groups (SRG), one of them having blown up a fuel tanker in Makeyevka, killing one and injuring another DPR serviceman. The blast shattered windows of nearby houses, schools and kindergartens.
DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko ordered republican forces to maintain a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire as of midnight September, 14/15. He reiterated that DPR kept truce before as well, in accordance with agreement brokered by the Contact Group in late August.
