Donetsk, Aug 8 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours firing more than 30 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire seven times expending 34 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Fire was delivered at the airport area in northern Donetsk and the Spartak village, the Gagarin Colliery neighbourhood in Gorlovka and the Krutaya Balka village in the outskirts of Yasinovataya. Ukrainian forces also shelled the the Leninskoye, Dzerzhinskoye and Belaya Kamenka villages in southern DPR, the JCCC added.

The enemy used 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on July 21. It was agreed at the the Contact Group talks in Minsk on July 17. *jk*pp
