Donetsk, Oct 28 - DAN. Ukrainian army units fired mortars at the Staromikhailovka settlement in western Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
The strike was delivered at 15:25 from the Kiev-controlled Krasnogorovka area. The enemy expended eight 82mm mortar rounds.
“The Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC have ignored the request to use the coordination mechanism for establishing a ceasefire,” the DPR Office said.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian army artillery shelled the Mineralnoye settlement outside Yasinovataya on Thursday morning.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
