Donetsk, Jan 20 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations opened mortar fire at the Spartak neighborhood in the northern suburbs of Donetsk on Thursday, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.
Fire was delivered from the Opytnoye settlement area at 11:35. The enemy used 120mm mortars (ten rounds were expended) and large calibre machine guns. No casualties or damage were immediately reported, the JCCC said.
Earlier reports on Thursday said that Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire once over the past 24 hours.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works at troops’ positions and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
