Donetsk, Aug 26 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired at the Donetsk People’s Republic twice over the past 24 hours targeting areas on the Donetsk and Gorlovka axes, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire twice expending five rounds of ammunition ,” the report said.
Strikes were delivered at the outskirts of the Alexandrovka neighbourhood in western Donetsk and the Dolomitnoye settlement in northern Gorlovka. The enemy used AGS and SPG grenade launchers. No civilian casualties or damage to civil infrastructure were recorded.
“The Ukrainian representatives at the JCCC ignored the attempts to use the coordination mechanism in order to quickly establish a local ceasefire after each fact of truce violation,” the DPR Office said.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces fired at the DPR once.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of all weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
